Understanding PDGF

Growth factors are naturally occurring proteins that serve as the body’s internal messaging system for repair.  They are chemical signals that tell cells when to multiply, migrate, and rebuild. PDGF, specifically, drives the proliferation of fibroblasts and endothelial cells which are the cells responsible for producing collagen, elastin, and new blood vessels.
